Welcome to Saving Up for Disney! I’ll teach you how to budget and save for what is sure to be a memorable vacation. I’ll offer fun DIY tips for bringing Disney magic into your home while saving your pennies along the way. Budgeting isn’t just “in the bank” however and I also include helpful advice for budgeting time and family too.

Welcome to Saving Up for Disney! I’ll teach you how to budget and save for what is sure to be a memorable vacation. I’ll be saving right along with you for our dream vacation!

As a Southern California native, I’ve spent a lot of time at Disneyland. However it’s my family’s dream to see Walt Disney World in Florida so now I’m “Saving Up for Disney”. With three young children at home, we already live frugally but I’m ready to take on this challenge so I can send my family to Orlando!

My friends and family ask me how I can know so much about places I’ve never been, like on a Disney Cruise, WDW or Aulani in Hawaii. These are all places on my “bucket list” and I enjoy reading online and doing my research for trip planning. Don’t tell me I’m the only one who plans mock-vacations? 🙂

I’m not looking to reinvent the Disney-wheel here. There are tons of amazing sites across the internet that will teach you all the ins & outs Disney Parks. I do have posts about our Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure experiences that I share with my personal opinions and suggestions for making it your own Magical Vacation! I also share our other adventures out and about in San Diego.

Hoping that the advice you find here will help you add more to your Disney piggy bank…along with having fun along the way!

  1. I too love to plan mock trips or plan WAY in advance. We are planning our first family trip to Disneyland October of 2015 our kids will be 4 and 6.
